I’m not going to turn this into a full-time pregnancy blog (I mean, there are other things going on in my life!) but this is a big part of my life, so you’re gonna hear about it.
I did buy a pregnancy journal yesterday, so you won’t have to hear about it ALL…but I like the thought of doing weekly updates.
As of today, I’m 11 weeks. 🙂 So here’s my first update, since we just made it officially public.
I’ll take pics once I have a legit bump and don’t just look like I’ve eaten a big lunch. For now, here’s the screenshot from my Ovia app.
How far along? 11 Weeks
Total weight gain: 4ish pounds? It fluctuates because my current cravings are full of sodium- Asian food and Mexican food.
Maternity clothes? Not too much. I’m wearing normal pants today. I did switch over to some maternity jeans because the stiff/too-tight jeans became uncomfy a couple weeks ago. I’m wearing all normal tops so far. My entire closet doesn’t fit anymore, but I have enough loose-fitting tunics to be ok.
Sleep: I’m sleeping ok-ish. In the first couple of months, I didn’t sleep well. But now, I’m falling asleep better and staying asleep until I wake up around 3-4 to pee. Sometimes I can’t fall BACK asleep after that.
Best moment this week: Our appointment last Thursday where we got to see baby!
Miss anything? I miss sushi. Real talk. I had a cooked roll last week and it just wasn’t the same.
Movement: Nope. Can’t feel it…and baby was pretty chill on the ultrasound.
Food cravings: I said it above, but Asian and Mexican. I also want sour things- lemonade, oranges, orange juice, pineapple. I also want a glass of chocolate milk every morning- which is something I didn’t really love before pregnancy.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Not too much. Sweets haven’t sat well with me. I need to avoid them because too much sweet stuff and I feel queasy. Yesterday was Pi Day and my piece of pie made me nauseaus all afternoon.
Gender: We will find out in 5 weeks! 🙂
Symptoms: Bending over is a bit uncomfy. I can tell there’s an extra organ there.
Belly button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or moody most of the time: I’ve been pretty happy, but this last week I was up and down. Cried a lot last week. Feeling better now, though. Hoping that emotional person stays at bay.
Looking forward to: The next appointment in 3 weeks. I know we won’t see baby, but just to know everything is good. Also, I plan on breaking out our fetal doppler this weekend to hear baby. I just want to have time to find the heartbeat at first…so I’ve been waiting to use it. But I’m ready to listen to baby at home.
