This is a long post, and it’s all stuff you’ve seen on the blog if you’ve read all year. But I like recapping each year in a single post to look back on. Here are the highlights of 2014, month by month.
In January, I finished my t-shirt quilt of all my running shirts from 2013.
We bought a new car for me! Welcome to the family, Percy.
I visited Alden to prep for her wedding.
We spent a weekend in Dallas for Tyler’s college roommate Bryce’s wedding.
In February, mom and I went BACK to Dallas for a fun weekend seeing the musical Ghost.
We saw Pentatonix in Tulsa. One of the top 5 concerts I’ve ever seen.
We got a lot of snow.
We spent Valentine’s Day at Cross My Art and painted some fun stuff for our home.
Kristin and Taylor came to visit!
In March, we celebrated 4 years of wedded bliss with a little hometown date.
Alden got married! (this pic is from her rehearsal).
I visited San Diego for work and had an epic Ghiradelli chocolate sundae.
In April, I was Mary Magdelene at Easter.
The whole family was together for Easter at our house.
In May, I saw Karmin in Tulsa. Loved it!
We spent Mother’s Day back at Cross My Art.
We went to Tulsa for Hanson Day!
Mom and I went to NYC for a fun trip. I had the best prosciutto of my life.
In June, Tyler took me to see Bruno Mars in Tulsa for my birthday!
We had hibachi birthday dinner with the family.
We did the glow run together.
Jen and I met Issac Hanson at a meet and greet in Tulsa. (I’ve made quite a few Tulsa trips this year!)
We spent some time at the lake.
In July, we did the Freedom Fest 5k.
More lake time with the kids.
Tyler hit a deer.
I went to my first rodeo.
We spent a weekend in the Boston Mountains where we kayaked…
And saw a deer while hiking.
In August, we took the family to Lake Fort Smith for a fun reptile event.
I took Gram to see 9 to 5 at the Little Theater.
I competed in a karaoke contest and made it to the finals.
Mom and I spent a day in Tulsa exploring, eating, shopping, and seeing Kristin Chenoweth.
In September, mom and I went to see KISS in Tulsa.
I went to ARWB in Northwest AR. I loved meeting my bloggy ladies.
I had my gallbladder removed and spent a few days on the couch recovering.
Tyler’s family reunion happened. I only spent a couple hours there because of my gallbladder…but I enjoyed hearing old stories.
In October, Tyler had his 10 year reunion.
I got to see my friend Rachael who was in the States visiting from Cambodia.
I went to Crystal Bridges museum with my ARWB folks.
In November, we added Pippin to our fmaily.
Tyler graduated from the Police Academy and started as a police officer.
We had a quiet Thanksgiving here in Fort Smith.
In December, we had our third annual cookie swap and a house full of friends.
We saw Mythbusters Live in Fayetteville.
We saw Garth Brooks in Little Rock.
We had an eventful 2014. Can’t wait to see what next year holds!
