26 Week Update

How far along? 26 weeks!

Baby is the size of: a bowling pin, a head of kale, a butternut squash…and two things I wasn’t familiar with- a boule de pain (a Parisian loaf of bread) and a slow loris (an Indonesian animal).  One app also said we are 13.5-15 inches and 2-2.5 pounds!

Maternity clothes? So much yes.  With the exception of a few really stretchy/lose items.

Sleep: Mostly good.  Thank goodness for the maternity pillow! I find myself not feeling incredibly sleepy and tired when it’s bedtime, but once I lay down, I fall asleep.

Best moment this week: Putting together some of the toys and things we bought at Ikea.

Miss anything? Not swelling in the heat.

Movement: A little more. I notice it most when I’m laying on my side on the couch. I feel her a lot on my right side.

Food cravings: Mostly the same. Red meat, pickles…I’m wanting more fruit this week. My lunch today has cherries, and apple and cranberry chicken salad.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. Pretty great on that front.

Symptoms: Been pretty good this week.  Except strangely, the bottoms of my feet are hurting. Like pain.  Might be time for a pedicure.

Belly button in or out? In

Wedding rings on or off? Mostly on.

Happy or moody most of the time: Pretty good this week.

Looking forward to: putting all of our furniture together! Let’s make a nursery!
