30 Day Shred Results

Ok…so I did the 30 Day Shred last month.  I completed all 3 levels and did 24.5 out of 30 days.  (I say 24.5 because there was one day I did about half the video…and then quit.  I was just too tired).  I took Sundays off every week, and a couple extra days here and there when I needed rest.  Some folks do the 30 Day Shred every day for 30 days…but my body needs rest.  So I did it as much as I could in 30 days. And my 30 Day Shred results?….
I lost 4.5 pounds and 9 inches!
Disclaimer: I did more than the 30 Day Shred.  I shredded in the mornings most days (at 4:45 a.m.!!) but in the afternoons, 6 days a week I did something else (like I did before the shred…I simply added it to my regular routine).  Zumba, running, swimming, water aerobics, cardio dance….something 6 days a week.  So these results are from the shred and my regular workouts.
I did take before/after photos in a sports bra and shorts, but honestly, because the clothes are so constricting (I mean, my sports bra is supah tight…and the shorts have an elastic waist), you really can’t tell a difference in the photos….so I’m not posting them.
BUT, I will post some photos that I think show my results from doing the 30 Day Shred.
I lost 1 inch in my waist and 1 in my hips, 1 on each leg, 1 on each arm, .5 on each calf, and 2 from my bust. My legs are so much more muscular, and so are my arms and back.  I feel like my tummy really flattened out.

 The 30 Day Shred was tough.  There were times I wanted to quit.  There were days I didn’t feel like doing it, but I pushed through anyway.  And it worked.  While 4.5 pounds isn’t a miraculous amount, it did change my body.  I am going to be doing Jillian’s Ripped in 30 a couple days a week starting next week to continue with the weight training.  I’m digging it.

So there ya go.  Nothing crazy inspirational…just that I did it.  I can now cross it off my 30 Before 30 list! And trust me, the work is totally worth the results. You will feel strong and look great after doing the 30 Day Shred! Woohoo!

  4. Great job! I’m a big Jillian fan (and Bob). I’ve never watched the Biggest Loser before and I started watching from the beginning on Netflix a few months ago. She is a really good motivator! I need to try her DVD’s.
