A Cheerful Heart

A Cheerful Heart

One of my favorite verses is Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”  I try to keep my spirit cheerful, and I think Remi’s little personality shines the brightest.

She LOVES cousin Luke. He still isn’t totally sure about her, but he will let her sit with him, which makes this girl LIGHT UP.

I tried on her boots, and THEY FIT.  She was SO excited to wear them down the pond.  Momma and Dada put their boots on to walk down there, and now she had her own.

She loves feeding the fish in the evenings.  Asking Dada “more, pwease!” for more fish food to throw.

This wasn’t so cheerful, but was funny.  I made myself some cinnamon toast one morning.  She saw it and wanted it.  Well, I didn’t have time to make another piece, so I was going to split my piece with her. NOPE. She doesn’t want part of it, but the whole thing.  So I gave her a piece of bread, calling it toast (or toasht, as she says) and she was pretty ok with that.  Even if I did keep getting the evil eye for, how dare I, offering her PART of some bread.

We got up one Saturday morning and she wanted her milk and a book, and then asked to go outside. Sure, baby.  A book on the front porch sounds pretty great.

She LOVES noodles, or noo-nles.  We go get lo mein at the Chinese buffet after church, and she was SO excited about our meal.

She has such a sweet spirit. One morning she wanted to snuggle and asked for both Abby (from Sesame Street) and Bah Bah (her lamb). So I had a very full lap.

This girl sure does bring US cheerful hearts, and (most of the time) she has one, too.
