Amber’s Wedding Weekend

Amber’s Wedding Weekend

The big event went off without a hitch! Amber and Damion got married!

We gathered Friday to help set up, and these ladies worked so hard to make everything beautiful!

Then we had a fun dinner all together, giving them toasts and watching (read: crying) at their slideshow.

We got together Saturday morning at Amber’s house to get ready. And we toasted, too.

We took pictures outside in the gorgeous weather.

After the ceremony, we went back to take more pictures with both of them. Look at the lovebirds! MARRIED!

Amber asked me to emcee the reception, which was fun. And then we did the Tri Chi wedding song…all 4 of us! ha! But it sounded great.

I’ve been friends with Amber for like 9 years, and it was amazing to see how God stitched her life plans to bring her to Damion and their marriage. We wish them a lifetime of happiness!

Happiness Begins

Happiness Begins

The Jonas Brothers are back!

And we are HERE FOR IT.

We bought tickets back in May for the concert, and it was finally here!

Alden came to visit to see the show and we had a great weekend, but this was the cherry on top!

We headed to Tulsa Sunday after church and lunch. We parked and walked to Roof 66, a really neat rooftop bar.

We saw some cool views of the city and had dinner and cocktails.

The whole crew! Becca and Laura (coworkers), Alden, me and Mary Elaine (Laura’s sister).

I just love Tulsa.

(oops in the wrong order, but let’s backtrack) Before we got to dinner, we stopped at Whimsey Cookie for some sweets. We all got a couple to sample and they were yummy!

Hard to see, but they renamed the street in front of the arena Jo Bros Boulevard.

And they had a HUGE Happiness Begins sign on top. We had to wait in line to get into the BOK because they were like totally sold out.

Bebe Rexa opened for them. She was good.

But one of the best parts was the live DJ in between the opening acts and the Jo Bros. We stood and danced like crazy people almost the whole time.

But then, the Jonas Brothers appeared.

And we lost our minds.

We were on the lower bowl close to the stage. We bought the tickets at the first presale, and to be honest, we were almost “too” close because we were almost behind the stage. One song when they stayed up in the set we couldn’t see them. But other wise, we were right by the walkway they came down on the sides.

*blurry phone concert pics but whatever*

Bless it, but the lady in front of us couldn’t hang and she fell asleep sitting in her chair during the show.

This was probably my favorite moment. Cake by the Ocean was just really fun with the dancing wobbly men thingies. (do those things like names? I don’t know)

The encores were AWESOME. Burning Up and Sucker. And the fire and fireworks during them were a fun touch.

So fun to see this show with these friends. Alden, especially. She’s been a big Jo Bro fan for years and this was her first time to see them. She may have cried happy tears (I’ve been guilty of concert crying at Hanson shows). I was glad to experience it with her.

Making Memories with Family and Friends

Making Memories with Family and Friends

Just documenting some fun moments we’ve had lately.

We took a family 4 wheeler ride to the pond to feed catfish. This night was so fun. Remi was really into feeding the catfish and even created a little game where she tried to hit the blades of grass with the catfish feed.

My bestie Alden and her little girl Avery came to visit and we had the BEST TIME.

The girls played SO well together. It was awesome to do life with them for the weekend.

When they woke up, they wanted to go outside and play, so they “cooked” us breakfast.

Then when I was getting ready, they both wanted to get ready with me. They grabbed my brushes and walked around singing “Makeup makeup”.  I never could catch them in the same frame together, but they were so sweet.

We all went to church together. And I just LOVE this picture of the 4 of us. Framer.

Sunday night, Alden and I went to a concert (more on that later) but these two had a slumber party with Mimi, Gigi and Tyler. They came in from playing outside and then snuggled in for some TV.

We are so blessed with wonderful family and friends to make memories with.

Remi’s 3rd Birthday Party!

Remi’s 3rd Birthday Party!

We had Remi’s 3rd birthday party a little early (due to some family conflicts the weekends around her birthday). But it was PERFECTION.

We had it at a place nearby called Tiny Tumblers, and they did almost everything. They decorated according to our theme, had toys and tables set out, made goodie bags, and I just had to bring food.

We brought a cake (which, side story: Remi THE DAY I PICKED UP THE CAKE started saying she wanted the Paw Patrol “telescope” (aka periscope) on her cake, and she was disappointed that the tower/telescope wasn’t on her cake….so we had to go find a toy at Walmart to go on top to help with the disappointment. She wasn’t being bratty or anything, she legit said “I really wanted the telescope on my cake, mom. But it does have blue!” So I wanted to help. Super Zumba to the rescue!)

We also cut a big block of cheese into slices and then cut those into bones with a cookie cutter (from Amazon).

Plates and napkins from Oriental Trading, and the venue made water bottle labels.

I used dog bowls from the Dollar Tree to hold Cheetos and Scooby Snack graham cracker bones, and served fruit and corn dogs (baked frozen corndogs, held warm in my crockpot)

The room looked so cute! We set plates, napkins, forks and their bone cups (with added Paw Patrol stickers- both from Oriental Trading) at each kid’s spot.

Some details from her decorations! I loved them (and loved that I didn’t have to do it!)

Up by the front gift table was this cute little photo area. Had to get one of the birthday girl! (Shirt from Amazon. What would I do without Amazon?!)

I bought these felt Paw Patrol masks on Amazon and the kids sort of passed them around and would wear and then throw them down. ha! I wasn’t sure if these would be photo props or favors, but turns out that just playing with them was a hit. Remi loved the Ryder mask!

Tiny Tumblers had 4 different play areas- and we had it all to ourselves! Remi and Wyatt are great buds at school, and they loved the ball pit!

Lots of slides, a bouncy house, ride ons, and more fun all around. (for our memory book, that’s Grace and Levi in this pic, and Wyatt in the back)

There was also gymnastics equipment to play on! (Connor and Wyatt watching close)

So many exciting things to jump on! (with Amelia and Tristan)

This big horse was a hit! James loved it!

About 50 minutes in, we gathered the kids for snacks. (Avery, Grace, Remi, Wyatt, Levi and James)

Our other table of friends- Tristan, Avery, Connor and Amelia!

Remi was having a blast. Mask, sunglasses (also a favor), and a corndog.

We did cake and she was THE CUTEST and the most excited when we sang to her!

Then we played more! There was a room with kitchen stuff, baby doll stuff and a play house.

We opened presents (while most of the kids played) and Levi was very interested in helping. 🙂 She got a ton of Paw Patrol toys, some Play Doh toys and games, and loved them all.

The pogo stick from Nene was a hit with all the kids.

She had to be persuaded, but we took a few pics with friends.

Sweet Wyatt…

Avery, our long distance bestie.

With Gigi

And we had to grab one with baby cousin Hattie!

The mommas got in on the fun – me and Alden loved the masks!

And with Mimi!

And our birthday girl (before she was begging to go back and play! ha!)

When we got home, she dove into her gifts after nap. She loved her new Paw Patrol watch and was speaking to it like she was Ryder “To the lookout tower pups!”

And she kept wearing masks and playing all evening.

I can’t believe she’s 3! Where does time go?!
