Spring Decor and a Giveaway!

*Side note: Geez local folks…where have you been hiding?  I’m glad to see so many of you commenting on my giveaway!  Just come out and say hi more often. 🙂 *

I was invited to a spring blogger event at I.O. Metro in Rogers.  Sadly, it was on a Zumba night…so I couldn’t go.  But I did go visit when I was in NWA…and OMG.  I’m in love.

I fell in love with all the unique home decor items – from super nice furniture, to some fun trendy decor.  I found out that I love the Moroccan design, because I was drawn to all of it.
I LOVE this sectional.  It’s so chic and sleek looking!  And that rug?  Dying.  I need it.
I REALLY loved these Moroccan mirrors. I love that you could use just one, or an arrangement of them.
These ikat dining chairs?  And the nailhead trim? LOVE.  And don’t get me started on that beautiful table…
I am SO in love with these pieces.  The mirror, the Morrocan…Love it all.
They have stores in Birmingham, AL, Jackson, MS, Collierville &; Memphis, TN, all over AR (Fayetteville, Jonesboro, Little Rock, Rogers), Missouri (Columbia, Lee’s Summit, Zona Rosa, St. Louis), Fairview and Dallas, TX, West Cobb, GA, and OKC and Tulsa, OK.  Or you can shop online.
They also let me pick an item to giveaway!  I chose this beautiful turquoise coral bowl.  It has a beautiful crackle on the glass.  It’s just so pretty!
All you have to do to enter is visit the I.O. Metro website and leave me a comment telling me something YOU love!  (I can not ship this bowl as it’s too big and fragile, so local River Valley entries only, please).  Winner will be drawn on Friday May 9 at 5 pm and contacted over the weekend. Good luck!

Friday Five: Weekend Edition

Friday Five: Weekend Edition

Linking up with The Good Life Blog for Friday Five.

Here are 5 things I’m looking forward to this weekend.

1. Watching the Hunger Games with my family tonight.  In preparation for seeing Catching Fire, we are re-watching The Hunger Games.  I may be wearing a Hunger Games shirt today in celebration. 🙂

2. Seeing White Christmas, the Musical!  Mom and I are headed to Fayetteville to get in the holiday spirit.  I LOVE White Christmas, so I can’t wait to see it on the stage.

3. Seeing my friend  Amber. Amber lives about an hour away (which sometimes feels so far when you don’t have time to visit!) but she just spent a couple weeks in China working with orphans.  I can’t wait to hug her neck and hear all about the trip!

4. Seeing CATCHING FIRE!  We are going Sunday (how will I ever wait that long!!!) and I can’t wait.  I LOVED the Hunger Games books, and I loved the first movie because it was so true to the story.  I’m a little worried that they will have strayed in this second movie since it is such a big money maker…but I’m hopeful it will be good.

5. Not weekend related, but I drew the two winners for my eShakti giveaway!  Congrats to Katie and Karri! I’ve emailed y’all with instructions for claiming your prize!

What are you up to this weekend?

I’m all girl… {and a GIVEAWAY!}

I’m all girl… {and a GIVEAWAY!}

I love ruffles and glitter and all things girly.  So when eShakti contacted me about reviewing an item from their fall line, I was on the lookout for girly items.  I LOVE the customizable options at eShakti.  If you are hard to fit, you can give them your custom size (I didn’t, because I was SO close to the normal size, I didn’t bother with all the details this time).  You can also have dresses customized with sleeves and the perfect length for you.
I just can’t stress how wonderful that is.  Don’t love your arms? Add sleeves.  Want dresses that are longer length?  Easy…just choose the right length.  You can customize pretty much everything.
When it came time to pick I debated between a few things.  Taylor helped me narrow it down through a g-chat one day.
I sort of wanted this dress… (and they had it in a skirt) but I have LOTS of black/white stuff, so I wanted to branch out.
Show Your Stripes dress
This was my “almost” dress.  I would have had it made with sleeves for fall/winter….but I have SO many necklaces, I prefer to buy dresses I can add a necklace to, and this collar isn’t necklace appropriate.
Contrast collar graphic print dress
So I got this beauty.  I LOVED the cascading ruffles and the feminine draping.  I also liked the green color, as I don’t have a ton of stuff in this color.  Very unique. I had eShakti add sleeves and make it knee length (and remove the pockets…they always just add bulk to my hips).
Ruffled Crepe Dress
I love it.
I love it with and without the belt.  This fabric is AMAZING.  So comfortable and not too heavy.  I can see myself wearing this with leggings and boots, or just the dress with a jean jacket, with a more fun belt….I’ve styled it a few different ways. (BIG thanks to Tyler…my personal photographer!)
This is the dress with the belt that came with it…and a fun necklace and some riding boots.  (you can also admire our beautiful view.  This is what I see when I walk out of our door.)
This is a little more casual.  A long beaded necklace and a jean jacket, sans belt.  (this is the other side of our yard! ha!  We have a great photo backdrop!)
And this is more fun…with a leopard belt, leopard booties, and leopard earrings. (along with one of our red barns.)
Close-up so you can see the leopard belt better.
Obviously, hand-on-the-hip is my go to stance for fashion photography.  I need some coaching.
If you need a dress for a holiday party or Christmas or family photos or whatever, check them out. Just make sure to order the right size or give them your custom measurements and you’ll be golden.
eShakti has given me two $30 certificates to give away to two lucky readers!  Just enter below!
