Going home…then going to the chapel!

Ok, I’m heading home in a few short hours (after my class this evening…boo for a presentation on my last day here).

I CAN NOT wait to get home.

There are so many little things to get together. We are decorating the church tomorrow. I can’t wait to see all the bows, candles, aisle runner and everything come together! We will also decorate the rehearsal dinner room Thursday. We are doing a “house divided” BBQ at the bowling alley then bowling. We will have Razorback and Sooner and football decor.

Then Friday is the reception day. OH MY we have lots to do. We have to do all the centerpieces, chair covers, everything. We will get it done, and I’m sure it will be a blast putting it all up…but I know it will be long days.

I have so much anxious energy today. I was up at 4:15 and today has been dragging on. But I’ve gotten a lot of random things done (laundry, cleaning the tub, I even made my bed…which never happens!). I just can’t wait to be gone at 5:30. The car is already loaded.

If I don’t have time to blog while I’m home, see you on the other side!

Phones and Toilets Don’t Mix

Yesterday we were keeping my three sweet cousins, and we took them to the Behind the Mall Cinema to see the Princess and the Frog. (Side note 1: DON’T go to the BTMC. The new seats are too tall and the slope of the floor is too short. The kids had to sit in booster seats – and they are 7 and 9- and my lil grandma needed one too!). (Side note 2: the movie was really cute. A good job by Disney to harken to the old princess movies. The songs were not as good as some in the past…but the story was good).

I went to the bathroom before the movie, and my phone fell from my back pocket to the toilet. Fried. But today I got in a new phone, and luckily, after mine dried out…it turned on long enough to get the numbers off it.

Also, I am a real adult. Know how I know? I pulled a tooth for a kid yesterday. Caitlyn’s tooth was barely hanging on…and I took her to the bathroom at BWW and pulled that sucker. I’m an adult now.

Today, we braved Wal-mart to do our Christmas food shopping. We found those Zhu Zhu hamster toys (they lady at Wal-Mart said they are selling on Ebay for $200…crazy huh? They were like $8!). We bought some for the cousins. Can’t wait to play with them!

Then, Sandy, my aunt, needed to do a little more Christmas shopping, so I kept all three kiddos by myself today. They were good and we had lots of fun. We colored, played cars, watched Barney, watched Harry and the Hendersons, and played Candyland. I love those kids.

Now Gram and I are gonna spend a little time together tonight while mom is out bowling. I love home.

Home

What an amazing word that is. Though I have moved away (to the far off land of NWA), coming home means home home. Home, Hot Springs, home. Home, family, home. Dogs, home. Big bedroom, home. Christmas tree, home.

Its good.

I got home last night, ate dinner with my daddy, then watched my mom bowl on her league. Her team won the second quarter of the year and had to play the first quarter winners to be the winners of the first half. They were going strong, but by the time they got to game 5 and 6, they were worn out and lost. Oh well.

Today we are running around town. Signing up at the gym (gotta get ready to fit in that wedding dress!), Hobby Lobby, meeting with the DJ, and I might head to OBU tonight to see some friends. Gotta get in all the friend time I can. That time is precious.

So, I’m off for a busy busy day. But at least I’m home.
