There is a quote (I’m too lazy to look it up for who said it) that says : Comparison is the thief of joy.

And while I believe that for most facets of my life, it isn’t true for my fitness/health journey.  I find satisfaction in comparing to see progress.

I took these “before” pictures on December 19.

And this weekend, May 27.

I see my progress. Arms are more slender and toned, face is slimmer, less bulk around my middle.   It is sort of nice to compare.  I’m not there yet, but I’m inching closer every day! πŸ™‚

  1. I can see the difference too, you look AMAZING! Keep up the good work! I need you to help me! πŸ™‚

    • Thanks Em! (can I call you Em?) I am no expert, but let me know if I can help in any way. The change isn’t happening as quickly as I would like, but at least it’s happening!

  2. You look great! Keep up the progress! πŸ™‚

  3. Congrats! You look great!

  4. Awesome Brittney!!! I Hve always wanted a before and after picture!! How’s the running going??

    • Thanks Emily! It isn’t a true “after” because I’m not done yet! πŸ™‚ The running is ok. I don’t run on Zumba days, so I went last weekend at my mom’s house. It was hard to gauge my distance running through her neighborhood. I did run up and down some hills (and the track I do here is flat) so that was nice. I don’t think I had as much stamina because I was tired….so I ran/walked. I am hoping to go Saturday or Sunday (as I teach Zumba every day this week). Thanks for asking!
