Five on Friday: Looking forward to 2014

Five on Friday: Looking forward to 2014

Linking up with the Good Life Blog for Five on Friday!

My cousins are in town, so I’m hoping to spend some time with them this weekend (in between resting…I’m still stick and my ear infection is back! ugh!). We did go see Frozen last night….so cute! I LOVED that they used great Broadway singers for the voices.

And now for Five on Friday…

Now that we’ve hit 2014…I’m getting excited about some things that are happening this year.  Some of these have been planned for a little bit…but they seemed so far away in 2013. Here are five things I’m looking forward to this year.

1. Seeing Pentatonix live.  Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Everybody and their mom saw their Christmas videos. If you were online or saw talk shows over the holiday season, you saw Pentatonix perform.  I’m not a bandwagoner.  I watched them on the Sing Off years ago, and followed them on Youtube and Twitter since then.  They are coming to Tulsa in February.  I’m stoked.

2. My best friend’s wedding.  Not the movie.  The real deal.  Alden is getting married in March, and I’m her maid of honor…and I can’t wait!

3. Visiting New York in May.  Mom and I are going over a long Memorial Day weekend.  Seeing 5 shows and doing lots of fun stuff.

4. Seeing One Direction.  There.  I said it.  Mom bought tickets for my cousin (I hope she isn’t reading!! They are a birthday surprise!) and I get to go too.  I can’t wait to see an epic boy band concert.  While I LOVE my Hanson boys, as long as it’s music and a big show, I’ll be happy.

5. Divergent.  It’s coming to theaters Marc 21 (actually the day before Alden’s wedding…so I’ll have to wait a bit to see it!).  But I LOVED the books and can’t wait to see the movie.

Comments

  1. I’m not a huge fan of Pentatonix but that is a great rendition of Royals.

  2. I must be living under a rock. I’ve never heard of Pentatonix, but I’m falling fast. They are amazing! I just started Divergent. I’m hooked!

  3. I’ve been on youtube for almost 30 minutes now listening to all their songs! Holy cow!

  4. I grew up in NY state even though I live down south now. The one thing that I miss (besides the pizza and bagels) is all of the shows. Have fun! 🙂

  5. Ok, you have an exciting year coming up! SO FUN! I only heard Pentatonix a couple weeks ago when my brother and Dad were listening to them. Reed’s favorite Christmas song was The Little Drummer boy and after we left my parents’ house, he only wanted to listen to “Papa’s Little Drummer Boy”, which as the Pentatonix version! 🙂
