Fun New Years!

Fun New Years!

We had some fun plans over New Years! It started with taking Remi ice skating a few days before. Our town had a faux ice rink downtown, and we hadn’t made it down there, but thankfully, they were open until New Years. She AMAZED us at how she took right to skating!

She wanted a little help for a few minutes and got some falls out of the way…but thecommenting that she was a natural!

She was skating all over the place- making friends with other kiddos, racing them, spinnin we would be downtown for 30 minutes or so, but she skated for 2 hours and shut the rin

For actual New Years, we had a few families from church over. Some people we love, some people we wanted to get to know better- but all families that had young kids so they could all play. I hired a teenager to watch the kids so the grownups could visit. And the kids TRASHED the house with all the toys (I think we had like 13 kids between 5 families?)….but it was WORTH IT to have people over, visit, and get to know some friends better.

I have missed having people over. I love hosting.

We did a fake countdown at 9 pm (thanks to a Youtube countdown!), with noise makers and haing apple juice. It was a blast!

I’m thankful to go into 2022 with friends and fun. This year is proving already to have challenges, but what year doesn’t? We want to prioritize our family, making friends, and sharing what we have with others, and I’m glad we could start our new year off that way!
