I spent the weekend as a purveyor of fine (and not so fine) art.
It was our anniversary weekend but Tyler had to work Friday and Saturday night…so I occupied my time with friends and family.
Friday night, mom, dad and I went to NWA to see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. It was a fun show. Each song is done in a different style, which keeps it fun for sure.
It was raining, so we umbrella-d up and walked to dinner at Table on the Hill. It was YUMMY. Mom and I even shared a bottle of sangria which was a nice treat. I loved this picture of mom and dad walking together in the rain. Dad doesn’t always know what’s going on, but he depends on mom for so much. It was sweet.
When I got home, I got a sweet surprise. My MIL had been to my house, cleaned and left me flowers. What a treat!
Saturday was mostly resting, cooking, and getting ready to have my girls over.
Sunday, I went to church, lunch, and then Tyler and I headed back to NWA to spend some time together. He asked me what I wanted to do, and I chose going to Crystal Bridges for the Van Gough to Rothko exhibit.
There was a $10 charge for the exhibit, but it was neat.
Tyler’s favorite was this optical illusion piece. He stared at if for a long while.
My favorite was the giant Jackson Pollack. Tyler says we could make one ourselves, but I appreciate his work. 🙂
We also enjoyed the big silver tree outside.
We headed home and crashed early.
How was your weekend?
