My Playbill Memory Bank

My Playbill Memory Bank

At our last Broadway show in Dallas, mom and I had some time to walk around the theater and check things out.  One neat exhibit was the Playbills of all the shows the theater has done.  We decided to start a tally of the ones we had seen…and we were over 40!  But we knew not every show we had seen was represented there…and then during the show the Playbill advertised a site I hadn’t heard of before- Playbill Memory Bank.  I decided to check it out when we got home, and it was SO cool.   You create an account for free, and you can add shows to your memory bank.  You can get really detailed with the date, your seats, and you can even scan in your ticket stub!  I didn’t have time for that, but I did catalog the shows we’ve seen.  These were all professional tours or Broadway performances that I’ve seen.  I have 47 shows in my Memory Bank, and I’ll bet that there are a few I forgot to add.
My show list (in no particular order…):
  • Annie (tour in Little Rock)
  • Mamma Mia (tour in Little Rock)
  • Newsies (Broadway)

  2. Very impressive! Um…we’ve seen The Lion King. That’s it. Sad.

  3. That’s awesome!!! I’ve seen Les Mis, Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Annie…and I think that’s all. That’s kinda pathetic!! Oh, and all tours…never been to NYC.

  4. That’s really cool. I haven’t really seen anything. 😉

  5. Anthony Loarte :

I’ve stumbled over a rare collection of playbills. The playbills date into the 50’s and mid to 80’s. It includes “1962 the sound of music” “1951 South Pacific” ” 1956 Middle of the night, starring Edward G. Robinson” ” 1962 Take her, she’s mine starring Art Carney ” 1962 Camelot” “1956 Diary of Anne Frank” ” 1961 My fair lady’s” ” 1965 Hello, Dolly starring Ginger Rogers”…..I have a bin full of Playbills all in very good condition. Does anyone know if these playbills have any value?
