One Year Ago Today

One year ago today, I was at the beauty shop with some of my best friends laughing and getting ready.

Then we went here….

(inside)

where I cried when I saw these beautiful flowers. Seriously. Tears were shed. They were perfect.

One year ago today, I wore these amazing Stuart Weitzman shoes.

One year ago today, I saw my groom for the first time and we laughed together.

One year ago today, we were surrounded by amazing friends….

who could pass as wedding models. (Aren’t they hot?)

One year ago today, After a hyperventilating panic attack freaking out that something might go wrong and we-should-go-ahead-and-get-the-show-on-the-road-so-I-quit-worrying-about-it….my daddy walked me down the aisle. We held hands so tight. It was so sweet.

One year ago today, Brother Ronnie gave us a beautiful, personal marriage ceremony where we said “I do” and promised to love, honor and cherish one another in good times and in bad.

One year ago today, we kissed for the first time as husband and wife (it was magical. I could have sworn fireworks went off inside the church)….

and we happily skipped out of the church.

One year ago today, we left in a sea of bubbles from our family and friends.

One year ago today, we drove away in my daddy’s Corvette to the Clarion for our reception….

where we had this groom’s cake (I made those little people on top!)

and this wedding cake (which we will be eating a piece of later).

One year ago today, we snuck away to watch the sunset and take some pictures.

One year ago today, we ate an amazing dinner and had our first dance (very romantic and sweet)….

then we broke out the glowsticks and party music and danced the night away with our friends.

It was the. best. day.

And we have had one amazing first year of marriage. They told us the first year was the hardest, and if that is true, we will have the easiest marriage ever. We have learn (and are learning) to comprimise, put each other first, and show love continuously. We are so blessed…and we look forward to what God has in store for the next year of our lives together.
