My mom is gonna kill me…

But I’m going to show you just one face shot from my bridal portraits. I am so in love with these pictures (which sounds so ego-maniacal because they are all of me! but I am just so excited to be a bride) so here is a sneak peek…Braeden Rogers of Ambient 11 Photography is amazing.

Shower #2…Greenwood Fun

So I had a second shower at Ty’s church today. The weather wasn’t totally on our side (it snowed so much just days ago) so there weren’t as many ladies there as they had planned, but I had so much fun getting to meet some wonderful ladies that are Nancy’s friends, and we had such a great time!

The shower was in this great room in their church gym/fellowship hall. They call it the multipurpose room…but it had awesome stained concrete floors and pretty chandelier lights. Its perfect for a shower.

These are the family ladies that were there: My mom, my cousin Caitlyn (my mini me!), grandma Elle (Nene), Grandma Gloria (Gram), Me, Nancy (FMIL), and Tyler’s cousins Heather and Kelsey. My family drove in from Hot Springs and I’m so glad all these ladies were there with me today!

These were all the hostesses! There are 10 in this picture, but there were 13 total! THIRTEEN! Nancy, Ty’s mom, is very sweet and so popular, so lots of ladies wanted to help. It was wonderful.

This picture is of the most wonderful, magical food ever…these bacon covered, brown sugar glazed little smokies. They were A-MAZ-ING. I ate so many. And it shows up close some of their antique Fiesta ware that they used to hold the food. Since I am starting my Fiesta collection, they all gathered their Fiesta stuff and used it. That yellow bowl holding the amazingness is a family heirloom of one of the hostesses. She said its been passed down. I was so honored that they used all of this stuff for me today.

One lady made these yummy sweet cupcakes with little Ls on them! L for Lee…my soon to be last name!

This picture is a little blurry, but its the food table….look at all those goodies! See the homemade fruit bouquet! One of the ladies made that! It was too pretty to eat! Tons of cookies, cupcakes, bars, dips, cheeseballs, and two yummy types of punch. This was the most wonderful gift today….a KITCHENAID MIXER! It was the gift from all the hostesses, and I couldn’t be more happy! I am so blessed! When I opened it, I said “No way!” and teared up a little bit. I couldn’t believe it!

It was a fantastic day! So wonderful! Next on the wedding fun…bachelorette party in a few weeks! Woohoo!

Winter Wonderland

We got soo much snow at Tyler’s house! We got out to play in it yesterday! Today is my shower at his church. They are all worried about the turn out since the weather came and all…but I know whoever comes, we will have a great time! And my mom, grandmas, and cousin came to share this day with me! I can’t wait!

So, the snow…was 6.5 inches deep!
Ty’s Mom Nancy’s horse Dundee wasn’t quite sure what to do with the snow….
I made a snow angel!
Tyler and I were out in the snow…He was having a hard time with the light reflecting off everything…The ice and snow on the trees…

Our snowman!!It was a great day! Can’t wait for my shower today! I’ll share that with you soon!

The snow/the scarf

Well, it has snowed 5.5 inches at Tyler’s house. I am so glad to be here with people, and not alone at my apartment in Fayetteville. I’ll post some snow pictures later once we bundle up and get outside.

On another, more fashionable note, Kelly’s Korner is hosting Show Us Your Life Fashion Tips today. So here is my fashion tip. Scarves. Thick ones, thin ones, knit, jersey, silk. Any type of scarf will work.

I like to buy and wear solid color clothing to dress it up. Sometimes I use fun jewelry or bright accessories, but my favorite is scarves. I like to buy cheap ones at Walmart, Target, Kohls, and TJ Maxx (or sometimes at fun mall stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe) and wear them with anything. They dress anything up. I am a huge fan of those lightweight “summer” scarves and wear them all year round. I am not at home with my computer, so I could only pull some pics off facebook…but this is a sample of my scarf wearing life.

This is the scarf at the drive in. I’m wearing a sweatshirt and no makeup…but the bright pink scarf (from Walmart…$7 I think) dresses it up a bit. Notice my friend Amber is rocking a bright patterned scarf.

This is a red leopard print scarf at a Razorback game. It actually has “Hog Wild” embroidered on the bottom to show my fan spirit, but you can’t see it here. This scarf came from my fave boutique in Fay called Inscriptions on Dickson. It was a scarf splurge at about $15.

This is the zebra scarf at a Christmas party. I wanted to be comfy, so I’m wearing a black fleece shirt from Old Navy with jeans, but you can’t tell because all you see is my fun scarf! This one was $5 at a craft fair at home. Scarves are everywhere.

This is the scarf at my engagement photo session. Proof that its hot summer time (these pictures were taken August 8) and you can still rock the scarf in hot weather as long as its a thin summer scarf. This was a Walmart $5 scarf as well. The shirt also had a tie in the back, showing no matter the shirt, you can dress it up with s scarf.
Lastly, here are dressy scarves. At my first bridal shower, two of my three hostesses (Amber, Karlee, and Alden) are rocking some cute scarves from Old Navy. Amber has on a nice button up and dress pants and Alden has on a dressy turtleneck and dress capris. I got them these scarves for hostess gifts and they loved them. They were about $8 on sale at Old Navy.
