Summer Bucket List

Summer Bucket List

Yesterday, I was inspired by my friend Emilee’s summer bucket list.  I decided to make my own.  I have a pretty wide open summer, so I have lots of free weekends, if I will be intentional about using that time.  So, here are 15 things I want to do this summer.

  1. Complete Gram’s Quilt
  2. Start another quilt
  3. Fireworks at home
  4. Historic homes walking tour (who knew they cancel the tour for July/August. Looks like this will get put on the fall bucket list!)
  5. Visit Farmer’s market
  6. Ride the ferris wheel downtown
  7. Read 3 library books
  8. Make firepit s’mores
  9. Attend a Naturals game
  10. Organize office
  11. Make homemade ice cream at least twice
  12. Evening putt-putt
  13. Drive-in movie
  14. Local theater performance
  15. Convertible drive day trip

So there we go.  I’ll be coming back to this post and crossing things off my list, and blogging about it along the way!

  1. YAY! What a great list!! Looks like you have a fun summer ahead of you!! I’m also starting quilts as Christmas presents, but both recipients read my blog so I couldn’t write that. We may have to email and share our progress. It’s gonna kill me not being able to post their progress!!

    • Ooh yes! Email me your quilt progress for sure! I’d love to see it! The one I’m finishing didn’t turn out quite like I wanted it…which is why my progress haulted…but I know I can finish it, it just won’t be the way I thought it would be in my head. 🙂 ha! I have a more complicated quilt coming up next…but I have to finish this one first! I’m probably half way through the topper so far. Maybe I’ll finish it this month!

  2. Drive In movie, where?

  3. Great list! I want to visit the local farmer’s markets around here as well. 🙂

  4. What a great list! And it reminded me that I haven’t ridden that ferris wheel yet either – and I’m a theme park ride junkie! 😉 Good luck on making this the best summer yet.

  5. Awesome list of things to do–all things I wish I could do. Making quilts and home-made ice cream sounds fantastic. I’d love to hear about your summer reading list as well!
