Last night, Tyler and his family came to the show.

It was so fun to come out and see them (on the front row!).  I almost lost it when his cousin freaked out from the witch’s cackle.  I had to remember I was acting and keep a straight face. ha!

The whole troupe was Tyler, his mom, his two cousins, and their mom.IMG_0274

I have to take a moment to give big props to Tyler throughout this whole process.

Months ago, I talked to him about wanting to audition.  We talked about how I would be gone for weeks, wouldn’t be able to cook, clean, or hang out like usual.  I told him that I would only do it if I had his blessing- since it was a big time commitment.

He told me to go for it.  To pursue my goals.  And he promised that he would do whatever he could to make it possible.

And boy has he.  Since I’ve been gone at rehearsals (not to mention the death of my grandma in the middle of it), he’s not once complained about me being gone.  About me not cooking him dinner (I’ve tried to have batches of stuff in the fridge…but still).  He’s never blinked an eye when I left him a to-do list to help around the house since I was basically only there to sleep.  He’s usually helpful around the house, but he stepped up doing laundry, dishes, cleaning house, running errands for me, bringing me water bottles when I forget them at rehearsal…I could go on.

I couldn’t have successfully done this without him. He’s kept me sane.  And been supportive every step of the way.

I’m a lucky girl.  And I’m so thankful.
