Thawing Out

Thankfully, the temps are rising above 32 and we are thawing out.  I was back at work yesterday after a long weekend.  I did have one “work at home” day on Friday, and while I had to be productive with the falling snow (even though I really just wanted to sit and watch it fall!) I was SO thankful to be inside my warm house and not out in the mess.  We never lost power (Thank you, Lord!) and had a great time.

Our little family ventured out in the snow to play a little bit!
Mikey was basically swimming in it!
And then he returned to the porch to stay dry.  My dad thought we were crazy out in the snow, so he and Mikey were good pals.

I did capture this beautiful sunrise one morning.  God is so good.
And our mountain…
In between playing outside and eating (OMG the eating.  I haven’t weighed…but after the soup, quesadillas, and cookies, I don’t want to know!)….I did lots of sewing, gift wrapping, movie watching, and drinking coffee by the tree watching football.  Boomer Sooner!

Poor Mikey was just worn out from all the trekking through the snow.  He did lots of this.

Back to a somewhat normal week, trying to catch up on everything!

  1. What is it about being snowed in, or just being inside on a cold day in general-that makes us want to eat everything? I am the same way! Also, I love your sign/word art on the porch. Where did you find that?
