Vegas Dreaming….

So Tyler and I want to go to Vegas.  We’ve wanted for a while, but I think 2014 is the year.

We haven’t made concrete plans yet, but are researching where to stay, etc. so we can make plans.

I’ve been to Vegas once, for work, so I didn’t get to fully explore.

Give me your Vegas recommendations, friends!  Where to stay, what not to miss, what to do, etc.

We will likely be going in October.

Give me your expert advice, friends!

  1. Oh Vegas, Vegas, Vegas! I got married in Vegas (well that’s not really a highlight…lol) but living here in AZ, we can be in Vegas in a short 5 hour car ride. We went for my birthday last year (saw Elton John) and we are going next month to see Jerry Seinfeld for our anniversary. I have tons of thought on food and where to stay. Do you like sushi – if so, I have a place you MUST go to. Thai food – yes and if you wanna do a buffet you MUST, MUST go to Caesar’s palace. Hash, Hash a go go for breakfast is an awesome spot too. The gardens at the Bellagio must be seen – especially in October. I like to stay mid-strip. We love Planet Hollywood, Pilazzo, Paris and Venitian. I am also a big, big fan of the Monte Carlo (that is where we are staying next month). A lot of people rave about the old strip (now that it has been reborn) but I’ve never been there. They have zip lines and all kinds of stuff there though.

Ok, that is all I can think of right now. But ask away and I’ll let you know my opinion! LOL I think I’ve been to Vegas 20 times or so!

  2. I LOVE Vegas so much! I have a guide to Sin City on my blog, its under the travel section if you want to check it out. I’ve been 7 times in the last 5 years and still haven’t gotten to see and do everything I want to. I’ve been itching to book a Vegas trip for the last few weeks – I’m hoping to go in May/June

  3. I would LOVE to go to Vegas. Especially to take my husband to see Garth.

  4. We’ve been twice and love it. (And we are not gamblers!). If possible, rent a convertible and head to the Hoover Dam one day 🙂 The first time we went, we purchased “Vegas for Dummies” and it gave us so many great tips . . .. also use Trip Advisor to help with ideas too. Double check hotels to make sure the pool is open when you will be there – some hotels close their pools certain times of year for maintenance. . .. . and watch the fees! Some on the strip will charge you a fee per day for the “extras” (like internet). . .and it can add up fast. We stayed off the strip at the Orleans (the first time) and South Pointe (the second time) and were very happy.
