Week two of the 21 Day Fashion Challenge was great. I’m actually REALLY enjoying having prompts so I don’t just stare at my closet.
I’m linking up with The Made Thing for this recap- go check out the other ladies who are participating. Some great looks there!

Monday was all about your inner preppy gal- which is a gal I’m familiar with. I used to dress pretty preppy back in the day with Tommy Hilfiger being my favorite store in junior high and early high school. I pulled out my grey/black polka dot Margaret M “magic pants” from Stitch Fix. I know you can’t see the polka dots, but they are there, I promise.
Tuesday the look was monochromatic. I didn’t want to wear ALL black (which is the only color I wanted to go monochromatic in!) so I added a little gold accents.
I wore my Margaret M ankle pants from Stitch Fix, Pelzer tie-neck top from my most recent Stitch Fix, and black and gold bow flats from Target. I also topped it off with a gold monogram necklace which was a Christmas gift a couple of years back. Monochromatic with an edge. 🙂
Wednesday the prompt was a little tough for me. It was “shine and shimmer.” And I REALLY wanted to wear my sequin leggings for the first time (I bought them for a steal on Zulily and haven’t had the guts to wear pewter sequined leggings yet!)….but they weren’t really work appropriate. So I decided to just go bold with my outfit and wear shiny shimmering shoes and a blingy necklace.
I wore red NYDJ ankle pants from Zulily, a black Lucky Brand tank (with an ADORABLE split back!), a leopard cardigan from StitchFix, and my shiny shoes from Macy’s- they are INC brand- and they’re sold out at Macy’s but still available on Amazon here! I topped it off with a Loft mirrored necklace.
See the detail on the back of the tank? LOVE. A little fun split back.
And my shiny accessories up close. 🙂
Thursday was the “summer gal” look- and I loved this. Summer is about flowy and fun to me- so I wore my blue/white polka dot ankle pants from Ann Taylor and a white sheer blousy top from a local boutique. I also added some tan TOMS wedges from Zulily to keep it from being too polished and stuffy. I topped it off with a navy necklace from Charming Charlie’s.
And Friday was a day off from work so I could head to Tulsa for Hanson Day. The prompt was stripes – and I sort of copped out of actual “fashion”. I just wore my striped Hanson shirt and Kut from the Kloth jean capris (found them for a steal on eBay!) with a cardigan from Target. Also featured- my custom Hanson TOMS from Etsy. 🙂
I also wanted to give a shoutout to another 21 Day Fashion Challenge participator whose look I loved this week- from @Chromobeauty (blog here)
I loved this pretty Spring bracelet with the grey sweater. A nice texture and color play.
I’m excited for week 3- some fun style prompts to come! Go check out the week 2 recaps at The Made Thing!
