Weekend in the Boston Mountains: Part 1

Weekend in the Boston Mountains: Part 1

Tyler and I had a little weekend getaway this weekend to NWA and the Boston Mountains.  It was perfect.
Since we can’t go to Las Vegas, this was our little getaway instead.
We started out in NWA eating sushi for lunch.  Tyler was in heaven.
The views are gorgeous. This was from the back of our cabin.
The cabin was so cute! They had been added on to, and the old exterior stone wall was still there! Loved that!
After we got checked in, we took a little drive.  A favorite spot on Highway 71 is Artists’ Point. It’s a little gift shop, and they have tons of hummingbird feeders on the back.  The views are spectacular.
Next, we hit up a swimming hole in West Fork at the Riverside Park.  The water was spring fed and cold, and the sun was shining.  It was perfect.
We brought little rafts…and just chilled floating up and down the river.
Tyler even climbed up into this cave and jumped! Eek!
Friday night we went to the Naturals game.  It was SO fun.  They even had fireworks after the game!
Day 1 was just perfect.

Comments

  1. So fun! I love spring fed swimming holes-they are everywhere in FL, but I haven’t found any in IN. The water looks so clear and refreshing!

  2. So pretty!!! I didn’t realize the mountains in Arkansas were so pretty!!

  3. Omg this looks like so much fun. What was the name of the cabins y’all stayed at? I would love to go sometime. What an awesome getaway spot. Looks like y’all had a fun time. 🙂

  4. Wow! It looks beautiful out there! I need to get up to the mountains soon. I live in the part of california where I can easily make a day trip to hollywood, the beach, the mountains, etc…so if I ever wanted to go to the mountains for a day and go for a hike I totally could. I don’t take advantage of that enough, though.
