Weekend Recap: The Best and Busiest Weekend

Weekend Recap: The Best and Busiest Weekend

I was overbooked this weekend.  But man, was it fun!
Friday after work, I took Mom to the Brow Bar for some pampering, then we headed to Fayetteville to see Anything Goes!  It was the cutest musical!  Lots of cute humor, tapping, fun music, and such a talented cast!
After the show, we met up with my sweet friend Amber!  I rode back with her, and we all got home around 1 a.m.!  We sat up talking and finally went to bed around 2:30!  We were up bright and early because Amber and I were running the Miles for Mutts 5K!
Amber was such a trooper!  She wasn’t feeling great, and she is in the middle of studying hardcore for her Physical Therapy board exams…but she came down to run this race with me!
We had to walk a little bit, but we had a great time under 39 mins, even with walking!

We had breakfast, did a little antiqueing, and then came back, changed clothes and headed to Oklahoma to Tyler’s grandpa’s.  It was Grandpa’s birthday party….and Amber got to meet the family, play with the horses, shoot some guns, and take a ride around the farm!
Tyler even taught the littlest baby (about 2 years old) to shoot a gun!  It was a BB gun pistol, and he was so excited about shooting it.
Grandpa blew out the candles on his cake…he is 81 years young!
Sunday, we decided we needed rest, so we slept in.  When we got up…it was a BEAUTIFUL day, so we sat outside in the sunshine while Mikey played.
We decided to take a drive to Rogers and spend some time with our friend Greg.  We drove up a scenic highway, 71, which I had never been all the way down.  It was BEAUTIFUL!
We met Greg, had some of our favorite sushi, and then went to Cabella’s.  While we were walking around, I got really cold feeling…and realized I was sunburned! Bad!
We went and got some ice cream and came home.  We got in pretty late, so we just played with Mikey and headed to bed.
It was a jam-packed weekend, but it sure was fun!
How was your weekend?
