Weekend Recap: Friends and Fun

This weekend was full of fun.  It started Friday night with dinner and games with my Life Group.  We had a delicious dinner at Rolando’s, and then we played Apples to Apples.  These women are so fun and so real.  I am so glad I joined their group.
Saturday morning, I woke up to sweet hummingbirds at our feeder!  I’m so glad to see they have returned.  They are one of my favorite things for the warmer months.  Cleaning and refilling the feeder is TOTALLY worth watching these little guys.
I also planted a couple jalapeno plants.  Let’s see if they grow!
Tyler sold his motorcycle Saturday morning.  It’s a blessing to finally sell it.  He kept it after selling the shop, but we had only ridden it like twice.  It just wasn’t worth holding on to.  So, after the guy picked it up, we headed to NWA to see Amber.
We joke that since we have the same last name we are all family.  People at our wedding thought she was Tyler’s sister (she was in our house party…).
They matched wearing Oklahoma shirts.
I just LOVE this girl!
We ate lunch (our favorite sushi!) with our friend Greg, did some car shopping (more on that tomorrow), and shopped for Amber’s new apartment.  We also got mani/pedis. Pretty matching toes!
We tried Chuy’s for dinner.  It was good, but honestly, it didn’t live up to the hype.  I think Patron is better.
Sunday I sang at Tyler’s Grandpa’s church in Oklahoma for Grandpa’s birthday.  We had a burger lunch that was yummy…and then I napped while they played games! ha!
After my nap, we went on a drive up the mountain.  Dad loved the view!
It was me, dad, Tyler’s uncle, and Ty’s grandpa.  I love these fellas.  The views were so pretty!
After more games and fun (playing with the horses, walking around the farm), we stopped by and met Ellie, Tyler’s cousin Kelsey’s new dog.  Ellie is a standard poodle and is ADORABLE.
We left Oklahoma and headed home.  We had about a 40 minute drive, and it started POURING 5 minutes in.  We drove in the heart of the storm basically.  When we got to our town, there were trees down everywhere from crazy strong wind.  This was a tree down in the road that we came across.  Tyler made the Prius off-road to get around it.  We made it home and thankfully, the power only flickered.
I slept soundly through the storm. 🙂  I sleep like a baby no matter what’s going on around me.
I’m ready for a jam-packed week this week!
