Weekend Recap: Roommates and Friends

Weekend Recap: Roommates and Friends

Wow! What a whirlwind this weekend was!  But what a blessing it was as well.

I spent the weekend across the state spending wonderful time with friends.

It started Friday night at a wedding in Fayetteville.  My (third) college roommate, Karlee, got married.  I met up with my friend Amber and we were partners (party-ers) in crime together.

The wedding was GORGEOUS at this barn wedding venue.  It was SO fun.  We danced until I was drenched in sweat (as noted to me by the DJ.  Seriously.  He said “I love that you’re dancing so hard that you’re so sweaty.”  Um…thanks?)

Karlee looked beautiful and it was a lovely wedding. I’m SO glad I could be there to celebrate with her.

So I got back home around Midnight on Friday…and at 7 a.m. Saturday I headed to Little Rock.  I do great on little sleep. ha!

I spent the entire day with my (second) college roommate Rachael.  You may remember that Rachael has been serving in Cambodia for 2 years….and for my birthday I asked friends and family to donate to help bring her home for a visit.  Well, here she is!  We spent like 8 hours together talking, shopping, eating, and laughing.  It was fabulous.  I just love this girl so so so so much.

Saturday night, I spent the night with Kristin (and her sweet doggie Molly!), and then Sunday we had brunch with Taylor at an AMAZING taco shop.  Then I met back up with Rachael for a couple hours before heading to the Apple store to get a new battery in my phone. (The Apple store was a frustrating experience….so I’m not gonna talk about it!).  On the way home, I talked to Alden on the phone for a couple of hours…which was SO good to catch up.

The weekend was full of friends and blessings.  I’m a lucky girl to have so many amazing people in my life.

How was your weekend?
