Weekend Recap: Girls Night, Fun Day, and Relaxation

This weekend was full of fun!  Friday after work (after a stop by Pier 1 for some decorative pillows…pics to come!), I met some friends for dinner and a movie.  We had hibachi/sushi at Fuji.   It isn’t my fave sushi, but it’ll do.
Tina, Jenny, Candyce, Me, Cece, and Maureen.  We are all Zumba instructors.

We saw Magic Mike after dinner.  It did have some hotties, but honestly, as a movie I wasn’t really impressed.  But it was a fun night. We got yogurt after and the yogurt place has a webcam where you can take pics.  That was fun to play with!

Saturday, I met Lisa and Brandy and we headed to Fayetteville bright and early.  We went to the old place where I used to take Zumba for a fun class.  It was part Zumba, part Zumba Toning, part personal training, and other stuff.  It was a great workout.

After, we got some lunch at Chipotle and headed to the square.  We shopped the Farmer’s Market and then RiffRaff (where I bought my first Lilly and Laura bracelets!!) and the Moustache.  I got some beautiful flowers at the Farmer’s Market.  I miss the Fayetteville market.  It is so big and there are several stands that just sell hand made bouquets.  They make them there to your liking!

We also HAD to stop by Bliss Cupcakes.  We parked right outside.  I got an apple spice cupcake, and Brandy and Lisa split a chocolate marshmallow cupcake.  Yum!

This is my bouquet from the Farmer’s market. Gorgeous, right?  Only $10!!

After I got home, I spent some time on the front porch listening to the rain..
I went out to the track to watch Tyler race his first heat.  It was nice because it had rained, and the sun was setting beautifully.
Sunday morning, I was up before my alarm, so I sat by the window and watched the hummingbirds.  They bring me such joy!  There are at least 2 or 3 we see.  Lately, the same two have sort of been fighting over the feeder.  They are very territorial.

I am planning on making breakfast (biscuits and eggs!), church, lunch, cleaning/crafting, and maybe grilling out at the lake for dinner.  Just a relaxing day ordered.
How was your weekend?  Do you have a local Farmer’s Market?  We do have one in Fort Smith, but it doesn’t hold a candle to Fayetteville’s!

  1. I will miss the Fay Farmer’s Market! And RiffRaff! I am so jealous of your Lilly and Laura bracelets — I want one, but I have no clue as to what colors I would get. What a fun weekend!

    • There were soooo many Lilly and Laura bracelets…it took me a good 15 minutes to decide! I got three that were sort of solid colored…turqoise, pink, and red. I figure those are colors I wear a lot. My friend got one that is tribal-y looking with bright colors. So cute!

  2. I know Mitzi! She was our Jr. League president this past year. She is really a sweet girl.

    Looks like a fun time!

  3. Had lots of fun! Hi Brittany! Such a small world!
