Weekend Recap: Low Key and Downtime

Weekend Recap: Low Key and Downtime

We had a pretty low key weekend, which I was thankful for.  Still lots of fun, but nothing huge in terms of plans.

Friday night, I cooked dinner at home (spaghetti squash with a spicy sauce, topped with garlic shrimp…Whole30 can be yummy!)…and we got caught up on some DVR.

Saturday morning, I was up early to go to the gym.  I FINALLY got some Piloxing gloves.  They are weighted, so you get a better arm workout.  I did pilates and then Piloxing…so I was beat after.

I met up with mom and dad and we went shopping and to lunch.  We ran lots of errands around town- getting my oil changed, finding new hampers, returning shoes….we enjoyed spending the day together.

Tyler worked late Saturday (he was stuck working a case), so me and the boys chilled while we waited.

Sunday, we did church, and I got a text that Tyler was getting off at noon due to his overtime.  So we waited for him for lunch.  It was SO nice to spend Sunday lunch with him.

After that, we all went to the lake and swam and played on the jet ski.

We got ready for the highlight of the weekend- the church’s outdoor baptism service.

Tons of people showed up at the lake to watch baptisms.  Lots of dads baptizing children, friends baptizing friends…it was beautiful.

After the baptisms, we went back in town for dinner and chatted with some friends that we saw at the restaurant.

All in all, a great weekend.
