Weekend Recap: Nothing of Note…

This weekend we did nothing of note…and it was GREAT!  I would hate it if every weekend was like that…but once in a while is great.

Friday, I skipped the gym and hit up Dillard’s for their 40% clearance sale.  AMAZING deals.  Everything on clearance was an additional $40 off.  I got two swimsuits (we are going on a cruise in January…), a coverup, a dress, and a Fiesta bowl.  GREAT deals!

Tyler decided he didn’t want to eat out because we had eaten out Thursday night….so we came home, ate chili, and chilled on the couch.  This was what my boys did Friday…

Saturday, I slept in, and then got up and finished Alden’s quilt!  I made my own binding for this quilt (the stuff that goes on the edges) and I was quite proud of how it turned out!

Then I cleaned the house, got ready, and went to town.  I hit up the antique shop downtown.  I found something that I don’t think was an old treasure. Bieber? Is that you?

Since I was downtown, I HAD to go to my favorite kitchen shop/bakery and they had pumpkin petit fours. PUMPKIN PETIT FOURS!!!  OMG! I totally had to have one.  It was heavenly, and totally worth blowing my healthy eating for the day.

I did some more shopping and running around, got a pedicure, and came home.  Tyler was supposed to race his RC car (and I was going to watch my Hanson DVD)…but the race was cancelled for the rain.  So we came home and watched TV and hung out.

Sunday, I made french toast.  Tyler almost ordered it when we were out at Bob Evans Thursday…and I didn’t realize he liked it.  I had never made him french toast.  So we fixed that with my vanilla cinnamon french toast.  YUM!

We did church (another great life group…I’m loving this new group!), lunch, and I went to the gym while Tyler went to the RC track.  Then I went to Kohl’s and got us a new bedspread (I’ll show you later), and came home.  We just got done in the backyard playing with our bows.  Tyler found a kid’s bow at his grandpa’s that I can shoot.  I am doing pretty good at hitting the target!

I did pretty crappy with my eating this weekend, but still managed to show a loss this morning!  Oops! ha!  I’ll take it!

For October, I am attempting Jillian Michael’s every work day.  Not sure if I’ll be able to do it in Vegas in a couple weeks (work trip) since I’ll have a roommate…but I will at least work out every day (there is a gym at the hotel).  This month we have: OBU homecoming, Vegas trip, BalloonFest, Zumbathon, 5k at work, and a paint party with my friends. BUSY month, but all fun things.

How was your weekend? What are your October goals?
