For the most part this weekend was low key. I’ve done something to my calf, so there was no working out. The house was relatively clean, so I did some napping. It was GLORIOUS.
In between naps, I had some fun. 🙂
Friday night, Tyler and I took dinner to a friend who had surgery and then we were going to meet up with one of his police friends for a double date. Those plans fell through when he got stuck at work…so we decided to try a new (to us) Italian place. Tyler got a pasta dish and I tried their lasagna pizza (ricotta, mozzerella, and meat sauce). It sure wasn’t Whole30 approved, but it was GOOD.
Saturday, I slept in, watched the end of Making a Murderer (turned out I wasn’t as into it as everyone thought I would be. Yes, I love true crime stuff…but this was a bit boring at times. I know not everyone will agree, but that’s what I thought)
I also went and got a pedicure and did some grocery shopping. After all that excitement, I got ready and picked up my friend Lauren for a night at the Walton Arts Center.
There were no photos allowed, but trust me when I say that it was a GREAT show. Ira talked about storytelling and the nuances of his show, “This American Life.” He also talked about Serial, which he is the executive producer of. It was so good.
Sunday we celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday. I cooked her a special dinner of chili rellenos and Mexican corn. And a peanut butter poke cake. Yummo. Back to Whole30 eating today.
So that was my weekend. What were you up to? We didn’t get any snow..did you?
