Zumba Reviews : Zumba 101

So you’ve heard me rave about Zumba.

Want to hear what actual Zumba students have to say about Zumba?  Here are some Zumba reviews!

One of my most fun students, Alicia, said this:
” I am the type of person that despises walking on a treadmill or stair climber because it is so incredibly boring. If I am bored and not stimulated it’s hard for me to get into an exercise routine let alone stick to it. A friend of mine suggested that I take a Zumba class. I was a little apprehensive at first, worried that people would look at me and I would feel self-conscious. BUT…that was not the case AT ALL. An hour went by so fast. It wasn’t like I was “working out.” It was more like a dance party that I didn’t want to leave. With that being said, I look forward to going to Zumba several times a week. It is such a “feel good” workout. I would recommend that everyone who is like me and dreads getting on the old treadmill to try a class. You would really be surprised how much you get out of one class, both mentally and physically”

Brandy- one my students says:
Zumba has changed my life.  I’m so thrilled everyday to have found an “exercise” that I look forward to, and would do it on a daily basis if I had the time.  I went from barely being able to do 30 minutes of the beginner’s gold class to now being able to do 3 classes 45 min each in a row.  It’s fantastic, along with counting my calories I have been able to drop 35 lbs since the beginning of February.  I have had so much fun doing it, I’ve inspired many of my friends and co workers to give it a try.  Every class is different, so It’s important to not just try one.  By incorporating Zumba into my life, I have been able to get my diabetes under control, and hope to eventually get rid of it.  My A1C level (important # when trying to control diabetes) was at a 6.7 in January, my most recent one was at a 5.3, which is that of a “Normal” person.  I am in no way finished with my journey.  I still have a lot of weight to lose, but I burn more calories doing Zumba than I would doing anything else, and when class is over, I can’t believe it, it’s flown by because I’m having so much fun.  A lot of times I lose myself in the music.”

Another one of my students, Courtney, wrote a little review for ya’ll.  Courtney is pretty fit, and she is using Zumba to work out and lose a little bit of weight.
Courtney’s Zumba review:
Zumba is a workout that I actually look forward to doing! It is entertaining and fun, and the music and choreography are always changing, with varying levels, which keeps you on your toes! After Zumba, I always feel like I have worked out most parts of my body and also gotten a great cardio workout! You will get out of Zumba what you put into it, which should include energy, enthusiasm, lots of movement, and consistency!
Lisa, another one of my students also wrote a review.  Lisa reluctantly came to Zumba, but now she loves it!

Lisa’s Zumba review:
At the age of 42 and the mother of 3 boys, I can’t tell you how much Zumba has changed my life! About 5 months ago my sister-in-law asked me to go with her to a Zumba class, my first thought was I’m never going to be able to do this, I have no rhythm at all, but only after 2 classes and lots of patience from my Zumba instructor, I started to get it. I then realized how much fun I was having and looking forward to the next class. And after several months I really noticed a difference, I dropped 20 lbs. which is amazing for me, because I have tried all kinds of diet plans. Zumba is such a great way to workout. and honestly it is for everyone no matter your size. Brittney has made the class so much fun and the energy she puts off is passed right to you. I know that I have found something that I love to do, and will keep doing!

    • You’ll have to let me know how it goes. Warning: you will feel super awkward your first few classes…but it will come more easily the more you go. 🙂

  2. I went to my first Zumba class on Tuesday and I absolutely loved it! I have another one tonight and although I am still pretty sore from Tuesday’s class, I am really looking forward to it. It was so much fun and I didn’t feel like I was working out and that was the best part! I can’t wait for tonight’s class!
